779 Pharmacy Students

from Across Country Participate; Deliberations on Education, Research,

Innovation and Healthcare

Lucknow, 27 Sept (HS): The 13th National Conference of

Pharmavision, the pharmacy wing of Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP),

concluded at Dr. Shakuntala Misra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow,

following a two-day programme. A total of 779 pharmacy students from various

states across the country, including 465 male students and 311 female students,

along with a delegation from Nepal, participated in the conference.

The inaugural session was attended by Uttar Pradesh

Government Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh, Saurabh Arora, head of Arbro

Pharmaceuticals Group, University Dean Dr. V.K. Singh, ABVP National Organising

Secretary Ashish Chauhan, Pharmavision National Convenor Apoorv Nandi, National

Co-Convenor Kumari Shreya Vashishtha, Avadh Prant head Dr. Akash Ved and other

dignitaries.

ABVP National Organising Secretary Ashish Chauhan said that

pharmacy students will have an important role to play in building a developed

India by 2047. He called upon students to connect their knowledge, skills,

research and innovation with the needs of the nation and contribute towards

establishing India as a leading global pharmaceutical hub.

Uttar Pradesh Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh said that

the pharmacy sector has an important role in ensuring the availability of

affordable, quality and accessible generic medicines. He emphasised the need to

promote pharmacy education, research, innovation and quality pharmaceutical

manufacturing.

Pharmavision National Convenor Apoorv Nandi said that

Pharmavision is a pan-India platform that encourages pharmacy students to think

beyond textbooks, become aware of their responsibilities and contribute towards

strengthening education, research and the healthcare system.

On the second day of the conference, various academic,

creative and innovation-oriented activities, including Model Presentation,

Poster Presentation, Pharmapreneur, Pharmacist Counsellor, Youth Parliament and

Pharmathon, were organised. Students presented their ideas and talent on

subjects related to research, innovation, entrepreneurship, healthcare and the

pharmacy sector. Zone-wise meetings were also held to discuss the upcoming

programmes of Pharmavision and a roadmap for expanding its activities across

the country.

The valedictory session was attended by Uttar Pradesh

Legislative Council Member Pawan Singh Chauhan. He highlighted the importance

of platforms such as Pharmavision in developing awareness and a sense of

responsibility among students towards the pharmacy sector.

ABVP National Co-Organising Secretary Devdatt Joshi said

that young people should ensure their contribution to national development

alongside their personal growth. He said that pharmacy extends beyond the

manufacture and distribution of medicines and offers wide-ranging opportunities

in research, innovation, entrepreneurship, healthcare services and public

awareness.

The 13th National Conference of Pharmavision served as a

common platform for students to engage in learning, dialogue, research,

innovation, skill development, entrepreneurship and service. The conference

witnessed discussions on contemporary challenges and future opportunities in

the pharmacy sector, while inspiring students to contribute to the nation's

healthcare system and the building of a developed India.
