Mumbai, 26 Sept (HS): NCMC

(National Common Mobility Card) will be made mandatory for senior citizens and

women commuters availing various concession schemes of the Maharashtra State

Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) from October 1, 2026. The MSRTC has decided

to use the NCMC card while issuing concession tickets, for which the process of

card registration and distribution has been started at depots and bus stands

across the state.

This includes discounts for Amrut senior citizens, senior citizens as

well as women passengers. The NCMC card system is being used to make these

discounted trips more accessible and digitally managed.

E-Bix Technologies Limited has been appointed as the authorized agent

for registration and distribution of NCMC cards at ST bus stands and depots as

well as outside the depot premises.

The NCMC card also offers a top-up facility through the BHIM app for

payment.

Meanwhile, alternate arrangements have also been made for eligible

beneficiaries who face difficulty in enrolment due to non-disclosure of

fingerprints in the biometric on the Aadhaar card. The procedure for

registering the NCMC card has been developed based on the OTP received on the

mobile number linked to the Aadhaar card.
