New Delhi, 25 September (H.S.): President Droupadi Murmu, Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, among several other leaders, on Friday extended their heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all Indian athletes who won medals at the Asian Games.

The President wrote on X, “A proud moment for India in shooting at the Asian Games. Heartiest congratulations to Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Neeraj Kumar on winning the silver medal for India in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions team event, and to Kamaljeet and Suruchi Inder Singh on winning the gold medal for India in the 10m air pistol mixed team event. Your outstanding performance and excellent teamwork have brought another medal for India at the shooting range. The pair won the gold medal for India in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Asian Games. It was a brilliant display of precision and exceptional coordination. My best wishes to all of you for continued success in the future.”

The Vice President said that the impressive performances of the men’s badminton team, which won the bronze medal at the Asian Games, along with those of Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Anantjeet Singh Naruka and Seema, reflected dedication, resilience and years of hard work. He highlighted Parinaaz Dhaliwal and Anantjeet Singh Naruka winning India’s first Asian Games medal in the mixed skeet team event, as well as Seema’s remarkable achievement in ending India’s long wait for a medal in the women’s 10,000-metre race. He wished them continued success and said that they would inspire many more people through their achievements.

The Prime Minister said, “A शानदार प्रदर्शन by the mixed 4x400-metre relay team.” He said the speed, coordination and determination of Manu T.S., Poovamma M.R., Vishal T.K. and Vithya Ramraj, who won the silver medal at the Asian Games, made the race thrilling and turned it into a proud moment for Indian athletics. He wished them continued success and greater achievements in the future.

Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla said it was a “golden performance” by India’s shooting stars. He said the pairing of Suruchi and Kamaljeet delivered a composed and effective performance, scoring an impressive 484.6 points to set a new Asian Games record. He also praised the trio of Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Neeraj Kumar for demonstrating outstanding precision, composure and teamwork.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the remarkable talent, hard work and dedication of Kamaljeet and Suruchi had made the country proud and extended his best wishes for their future endeavours. He also praised Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Neeraj Kumar for displaying exceptional precision, composure and teamwork on the biggest stage.
