Imphal, 25 September (HS): Security forces arrested two cadres of the proscribed Revolutionary People’s Front/People’s Liberation Army (RPF/PLA) in separate operations in Manipur, officials said today.

The CDO-Imphal West arrested an alleged extortionist cadre, identified as Okram Gobin Meitei, 25, son of Okram Nanda Meitei of Pombikhok Mayai Leikai in Bishnupur district. He was apprehended from the Langjing area under Patsoi police station.

In a separate operation, a team of the CDO Unit, Kakching, arrested an active RPF/PLA cadre, identified as Sanjenbam Abung Singh alias Krishna, 49, son of late S. Chaoba Singh of Irengband Mayai Leikai in Kakching district. He was arrested from his residential house under Kakching police station.

Further investigation into the activities of the arrested cadres is underway, officials said.-----------
