New Delhi, 25 September (H.S.): The Indian Railways has approved the extension of Train No. 11901/11902 Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi–Agra Cantt Express up to Mathura. With the extension, the train’s journey distance will increase from 217 kilometres to 270 kilometres, providing an additional rail service for passengers travelling between Jhansi, Agra and Mathura.

According to the Ministry of Railways, Train No. 11901 will depart from Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi at 4:00 p.m. and arrive in Mathura at 11:00 p.m. On its return journey, Train No. 11902 will depart from Mathura at 5:05 a.m. and reach Veerangana Lakshmibai Jhansi at 12:50 p.m.

On the extended route, the train will have commercial halts at Raja Ki Mandi, Runkuta, Deendayal Dham and Baad stations. Passengers travelling from these stations will also benefit from the service.

The Railways said that extending the train up to Mathura will strengthen passenger connectivity between Jhansi, Agra and Mathura. Passengers from other stations along the extended route will also have access to improved rail services.
