Noida, 25 Sept (HS): Union Home Minister

Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday launched the fourth edition of the Uttar

Pradesh International Trade Show 2026 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. “Once

upon a time, mafia rule prevailed in UP. Today, across the entirety of UP, the

work of eliminating mafias has been carried out by the Yogi government of the

Bharatiya Janata Party,” said Union Home and Cooperation Minister Shri @AmitShah.

“Uttar Pradesh is today becoming a fearless hub of

investment and the engine of the country's development. This transformation is

the magic of the double-engine government. We will make Uttar Pradesh a $1

trillion economy. Today, India's defense products are being exported to 80

countries, and Uttar Pradesh has made a very significant contribution to this.

Not only has the Yogi government here created a defense corridor, but to

facilitate this, to connect it with infrastructure, it has done a tremendous

amount of work to formulate favorable policies. Today, BrahMos missiles made in

UP keep Pakistan awake at night; this is the biggest sign of change,” he added.

“After the Yogi government was formed, the BJP government

has completely eradicated the entire reign of goondaism from the times of SP

and BSP, and it is precisely because of this that a very favorable atmosphere

has emerged here for setting up industries among entrepreneurs from the country

and the world,” he remarked.

to the audience, stating,

welcome the accomplished and well-liked Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath Ji, Uttar Pradesh

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak... all elected officials

here, state government ministers, and everyone who has arrived at this Expo

Centre from around the nation

and the globe for trade. I offer my warmest

greetings to each one of you.

HM Shah also

stated, Today is September 25. I

am unsure what

CM Yogi intended

by selecting this

date, but in

a sense, September

25 has become

significantly linked with this initiative.

This program and

September 25 are, in a sense, an

ideal match. September 25 celebrates

the 110th anniversary of the esteemed Deendayal Ji's birth. Deendayal Ji was the leader who, after Independence for the first

time, introduced the idea of free trade and free

agriculture as an economic policy to the nation.”

The UP International Trade Show 2026 is scheduled for

September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart located

in Greater Noida. The fourth edition includes global involvement,

diverse industries, and

business-to-business interactions. UPITS 2026 is anticipated to host more than 2,400 exhibitors, over 150,000 business-to-business buyers and attendees,

more than 450,000 general visitors, and around 550 international buyers from approximately

90 nations.

UPITS 2026 will highlight the variety found in Uttar Pradesh's industrial,

agricultural, handicraft, and services sectors. The

represented sectors will encompass agriculture and related activities; automobiles, electric vehicles,

and auto parts; aviation; defense;

electronics and online commerce;

information technology and smart city innovations; film and entertainment; fisheries; livestock and dairy; food production and fast-moving consumer items;

horticulture; handloom, crafts, and
