Mumbai, 25 September (H.S.): Actor Govinda has responded to ongoing speculation about his personal life after he was spotted with actress Komal Rani Swarnakar during a visit to seek the blessings of Lalbaugcha Raja. The actor was seen with Komal a few hours after his wife, Sunita Ahuja, visited the shrine alone, leading to speculation about the nature of their relationship. Govinda dismissed the rumours, describing them as a deliberate attempt to damage his image and distance him from his family.

Speaking to the media, Govinda said that nobody was at fault and that such situations might continue to arise. He said he had always remained focused on his work and that his relationship with Komal was professional. According to the actor, he had visited Lalbaugcha Raja to pray for his film ‘Roopa’. He said he had previously visited temples with Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon, and that those experiences had proved auspicious for the respective films. For the same reason, he sought Bappa’s blessings as he resumed work on the film after a long hiatus.

The matter attracted further attention after Govinda was seen with Komal when Sunita Ahuja was spotted interacting with paparazzi at the airport. Sunita said, “Love animals, not humans. Humans are deceitful.” She had previously also commented on Govinda’s reported closeness with Komal.

Govinda, meanwhile, said that working with younger actresses is a normal aspect of the film industry and alleged that some people were trying to provoke Sunita in an effort to damage his reputation. Following the remarks made by both, the matter has once again become a subject of public discussion.
