the 93rd birth anniversary of Maratha Krantisoren Late Annasaheb

Patil, the organized 'Gunate Kamgar Puraskar Distribution Ceremony and Grand

emphasized the legacy of the late Mathadi labour leader Annasaheb Patil while

discussing the socio-economic needs and well-being of the Maratha community.

Initiation of Wadala Mathadi Housing

Project: The Chief Minister officially declared

the start of the Wadala Mathadi Garhkul

(Housing) Project, designed to offer

residences to Mathadi workers.

Crackdown on Extortion & Abuse of the Mathadi Act: Fadnavis delivered

a firm caution to

those individuals or fraudulent entities exploiting

the historic Mathadi Act—initially designed by the late Annasaheb Patil—for

personal gain and extortion. He emphasized

his instruction to the Navi Mumbai

police to take firm action against those

seeking illegal cuts, which push industries away from

Maharashtra.

Empowering the Maratha Youth: The Chief Minister emphasized the enhancement of the Annasaheb Patil Arthik Magas Vikas Mahamandal (Economic

Development Corporation). Under his guidance, the

company’s share capital has grown to Rs. 750 crore to transform unemployed Maratha youth into self-sufficient entrepreneurs through interest-refunded business loan programs.

He likewise presented the Gunwant Kamgar Awards to deserving

employees at the major

gathering (Bhavya Melava). The

event saw the participation of notable local and state officials, such as Minister Ganesh Naik, Minister Jaykumar Rawal, and Narendra Patil,

President of the Annasaheb Patil Corporation.

Devendra Fadnavis praised the Annasaheb

Patil Arthik Vikas Mahamandal for changing Maratha youth into employers instead

of employees through the provision of subsidized loans and financial support. Late

Annasaheb Patil is remembered in Maharashtra's political history for initiating

early movements and demonstrations regarding the rights and economic challenges

faced by Maratha and Mathadi working-class communities. Maharashtra Chief

Minister Devendra Fadnavis along with other state officials honors the late

Annasaheb Patil on his birth anniversary (Jayanti Din). He is highly respected

in Maharashtra as Maratha Kranti Surya (the sun of the Maratha

revolution) and a trailblazing figure in the Mathadi labor movement. A large

gathering of Mathadi workers (Mathadi Kamgar Melava) is customarily held at the

APMC market in Navi Mumbai to celebrate the event. Chief Minister Devendra

Fadnavis consistently participates in this yearly event to award the Mathadi

Bhushan and Gunwant Kamgar honors.
