Lucknow, 25 Sept (HS): On Anant Chaturdashi, Uttar Pradesh

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath sends sincere congratulations to the public,

highlighting the spiritual significance of worshiping Lord Shri Hari Vishnu's

'Anant' (endless) form. The Chief Minister requests that Lord Vishnu bless

everyone's life with happiness, prosperity, good health, and success. He

emphasizes that this sacred event urges everyone to follow the paths of

morality (Dharma), truth (Satya), self-control (Sanyam), and public good

(Lokmangal). In his formal welcomes, he frequently employs the holy chant

Om Anantaya Namah to praise Lord Shri Hari Vishnu, the ultimate

guardian of the cosmos.

Anant Chaturdashi occurs on the Chaturdashi (14th day) of

the Shukla Paksha in the Bhadrapada month. On this day, devotees fast all day

and adore Lord Vishnu in his Ananta Shayana (reclining) avatar. A holy thread

with 14 knots (called the Anant Sutra), that depicts the 14 regions created by

Lord Vishnu, is wound around the arm for protection, tranquility, and

prosperity.
