Visakhapatnam, 25 September (H.S.): A bridge was washed away due to incessant rains in Andhra Pradesh's Alluri Sitarama Raju district, disrupting road connectivity to several villages in the D. Agraharam area of Gudem Kothaveedi mandal.

Streams at the Madigamalla and Chodirai bridges are also flowing in spate, with water overflowing the bridges and cutting off road connectivity to around 32 villages.

The Battunuru stream is also flowing at a dangerous level. With the water level rising rapidly, connectivity to another 11 villages has been disrupted, leaving residents facing difficulties.

The continuing heavy rains and overflowing streams have affected road connectivity in several parts of the area.
