Nagaon (Assam), September 24 (HS): Two persons were burnt alive after a vehicle caught fire following a road accident at Puranigudam in Assam’s Nagaon district, while two others sustained serious injuries, according to preliminary reports.

The accident occurred when a high-speed vehicle bearing registration number AR 01 W 5107, reportedly from Arunachal Pradesh, rammed into a streetlight installed on a road divider. The impact triggered a fire and the vehicle was soon engulfed in flames.

Two occupants trapped inside the vehicle died in the blaze. Two others were seriously injured and were subsequently taken for medical treatment.
