Mumbai, 24 September (H.S.): Maddock Films’ courtroom drama ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ has been generating considerable anticipation for some time. The official trailer of the suspense thriller, starring Mrunal Thakur, has now been released. The film explores the disturbing circumstances that can emerge from unrequited love, obsession, pressure and the refusal to accept someone’s “no”. Given its subject matter and storyline, the film has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification. The film is directed by Navjot Gulati.

The trailer revolves around Pooja, played by Mrunal Thakur, whose life takes a dramatic turn when an unidentified obsessive admirer, portrayed by Vikram Singh Chauhan, begins following her. The two initially develop a friendship, but the relationship gradually becomes a source of distress and fear for Pooja. As pressure to marry her intensifies, the situation takes a dangerous turn and eventually culminates in a life-threatening attack.

The story then moves towards allegations, legal complications and a fight for justice. In the trailer, Mrunal’s character is seen struggling with fear and mounting pressure while seeking justice.

Huma Qureshi and Vijay Raaz also feature in important roles in the film. ‘Pooja Meri Jaan’ is scheduled to stream directly on the OTT platform ZEE5 from October 2, 2026.
