Aichi-Nagoya, 24 September (H.S.): The draws and schedule for the singles and doubles badminton events at the Asian Games 2026 have been announced. Commonwealth Games champion Lakshya Sen, Ayush Shetty and two-time Olympic medallist PV Sindhu have received direct entry into the Round of 32.

The Indian men’s badminton team secured a bronze medal on Wednesday after suffering a 1-3 defeat to China in the semi-final.

India’s only victory came from the pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, who defeated reigning world champions Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang 21-11, 22-20.

The individual badminton events will begin on Friday, with the finals in all categories scheduled for September 29.
