Aichi-Nagoya, 24 September (H.S.): Indian Olympic Association President P.T. Usha has congratulated wushu athlete Naorem Roshibina Devi and the rowing duo of Satnam Singh and Salman Khan on winning medals at the Asian Games 2026.

Roshibina Devi won the silver medal in the women’s 60kg sanda event.

She lost 0-2 to China’s Zhang Xiaoyu in the final. With the silver, Roshibina became the first Indian woman to win three consecutive Asian Games medals in wushu. She had won bronze in 2018 and silver in 2022.

Congratulating Roshibina on social media platform X, P.T. Usha wrote, “Many congratulations to Roshibina Devi on winning another silver medal in wushu in the 60kg category! Your historic third medal is a testament to your dedication to the sport. Continue to set higher goals and keep making the nation proud!”

Meanwhile, Satnam Singh and Salman Khan won the bronze medal in the men’s double sculls. The Indian duo clocked 6:13.25 to finish third. It marked India’s first Asian Games bronze medal in the men’s double sculls event.

Congratulating Satnam Singh and Salman Khan, Usha wrote, “Congratulations to Satnam Singh and Salman Khan on winning India’s first bronze medal in the men’s double sculls event! Your hard work made this possible. Keep moving forward towards greater success and continue achieving more for the nation!”

With these results, India’s medal tally at the Asian Games 2026 has risen to 14, comprising one gold, six silver and seven bronze medals.
