
Aichi-Nagoya, 24 September (H.S.): India is participating in the 20th Asian Games being held in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, with a contingent of more than 500 athletes. The country is aiming to surpass its medal haul from the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou.
By the sixth day of the Aichi-Nagoya Games, India had secured 14 medals — one gold, six silver and seven bronze. Shooting has emerged as the country’s most successful discipline, contributing the largest share of medals, while the Indian women’s cricket team has secured India’s only gold medal so far.
