New Delhi, 24 September (H.S.): Indian Railways has approved the introduction of a new daily mail train service between Kanpur Central and Anand Vihar Terminal. Train Nos. 14153/14154 will provide an overnight travel option between the two cities, connecting major stations including Etawah, Aligarh and Ghaziabad.

According to the Ministry of Railways, Train No. 14153 will depart from Kanpur Central at 8:40 p.m. and reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 4:50 a.m. the following day. In the return direction, Train No. 14154 will depart from Anand Vihar Terminal at 11:25 p.m. and arrive at Kanpur Central at 7:25 a.m.

The train will cover a distance of 428 kilometres in both directions. The journey from Kanpur to Anand Vihar will take eight hours and 10 minutes, while the return journey will take eight hours.

The new daily service will have commercial halts at Phaphund, Etawah, Tundla, Hathras, Aligarh, Khurja, Dadri and Ghaziabad in both directions.

The Railways said the new service will provide an additional rail link between Kanpur and the National Capital Region, while offering passengers a convenient overnight travel option.
