New Delhi, 24 September (H.S.): Gold prices moved higher in most major bullion markets across the country during early trading on Thursday, with Chennai being the sole exception. Gold prices declined in Chennai, while silver rates remained unchanged for the second consecutive day.

Following the latest price movement, gold became costlier by Rs 970 to Rs 1,040 per 10 grams in most bullion markets, excluding Chennai. In Chennai, gold prices declined by Rs 500 to Rs 550 per 10 grams.

As a result of these changes, 24-carat gold was trading between Rs 1,54,190 and Rs 1,54,360 per 10 grams in most major bullion markets. Similarly, 22-carat gold was quoted in the range of Rs 1,41,340 to Rs 1,41,510 per 10 grams. With silver prices remaining unchanged, the precious metal continued to trade at Rs 2,49,900 per kilogram in the Delhi bullion market.

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,360 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,41,510 per 10 grams. In Mumbai, the country's financial capital, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,210 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,41,360 per 10 grams. Similarly, the retail price of 24-carat gold in Ahmedabad was recorded at Rs 1,54,260 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,410 per 10 grams.

Among other major cities, 24-carat gold in Chennai was trading at Rs 1,54,190 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,41,340 per 10 grams. In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,54,210 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,360 per 10 grams. In Bhopal, 24-carat gold stood at Rs 1,54,260 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,41,410 per 10 grams.

In Jaipur, 24-carat gold was priced at Rs 1,54,360 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,41,510 per 10 grams. In Patna, 24-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,54,260 per 10 grams and 22-carat gold at Rs 1,41,410 per 10 grams. In the Lucknow bullion market, 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,360 per 10 grams, while 22-carat gold stood at Rs 1,41,510 per 10 grams.

Gold prices also moved higher during early trading in the bullion markets of Karnataka, Telangana and Odisha. In the capitals of these three states — Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Bhubaneswar — 24-carat gold was trading at Rs 1,54,210 per 10 grams. Likewise, 22-carat gold was quoted at Rs 1,41,360 per 10 grams in the bullion markets of all three cities.
