Guwahati, 24 September (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday highlighted the state’s progress across three important segments of the livestock sector, saying the growing focus of farmers and producers is making a significant contribution to Assam’s economy.

In a social media post, Sarma said the state has been moving forward in these key areas with increasing participation from farmers and producer groups. He said the importance being accorded by those engaged in livestock-related activities has contributed notably to the state’s economic development.

“Seeing this cooperation, our government has also been encouraged,” the Chief Minister said, while sharing an overview of the progress made in the three livestock segments.

The Chief Minister also shared a visual presentation highlighting the developments in the sector.-----------
