Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday congratulated Parinaaz Dhaliwal, Maheshwari Chauhan and Raiza Dhillon after the Indian trio secured a bronze medal in the women’s skeet team event at the Asian Games.

In a message shared by the PM Modi on X, PM Modi praised the shooters for their focus, precision and teamwork, saying their performance had brought another proud moment for Indian sport. He also conveyed his best wishes to the three athletes for their upcoming competitions.

The Indian team finished third in the women’s skeet team event with a combined score of 331 points. Dhaliwal and Dhillon each recorded 111 points, while Chauhan contributed 109.

The bronze marked India’s first-ever Asian Games medal in the women’s skeet team event, making the achievement a notable milestone for Indian shooting.

Dhaliwal and Dhillon also competed in the individual event but narrowly missed out on podium finishes. Dhillon finished fourth, while Dhaliwal placed fifth in the individual final.

The medal added to India’s strong showing in skeet shooting at the Games, with the men’s team also securing bronze in its event.

Congratulating the trio, Modi highlighted the qualities behind their performance and expressed confidence in their continued success on the international stage.
