Lucknow, 23 Sept (HS): Brajesh Pathak, Uttar Pradesh's

Deputy Chief Minister, launched a bike ride in Lucknow to commemorate the 11th

Ayurveda Day, highlighting Ayurveda as a basis for a healthy lifestyle and

traditional culture. Citizens were urged to rely on Ayurveda for everyday

health management, emphasizing that over-reliance on traditional English

medicinal approach might cause secondary diseases in the human body. It was

emphasized that Ayurveda is more than simply a therapeutic approach; it is an

integral element of ancient Indian heritage and a blueprint for a disease-free

world.

On the occasion of Ayurveda Day, a bike rally was organized

on the theme Ayurveda for a Healthy Future from Lucknow's 1090

intersection on Wednesday. Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak and Minister of

State for AYUSH (Independent Charge), Dr. Dayashankar Mishra

Dayalu, flagged off the rally. The rally began at the 1090

intersection and continued to Janeshwar Mishra Park.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh

Pathak said that Ayurveda is an important part of India's rich and ancient

medical tradition and is the foundation of a healthy and disease-free life.

Ayurveda is integral to our lifestyle, and its importance remains equally

relevant today.

He said that in today's lifestyle, people often resort to

medicines for immediate relief. Therefore, there is a need to increase health

awareness and understand the usefulness of Indian medical systems. He said that

the acceptance of Ayurveda is not limited to India, but interest in it has also

increased in many countries around the world.

Pathak said that many of the traditional spices and foods

used in our kitchens are also linked to the traditional Indian health system.

Therefore, everyone should start spreading Ayurveda to the masses by starting

with their own families and those around them. He urged everyone to play their

part in realizing the vision of a healthy and strong India by spreading

Ayurveda to the masses.

Ayurveda is not just a treatment, it is a way of healthy

living: Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu'

On this occasion, Minister of State (Independent Charge) for

AYUSH, Dr. Dayashankar Mishra 'Dayalu', stated that Ayurveda is not just a

system of treatment, but a holistic way of life for living a healthy life. He

said that Ayurveda is not a new medical system, but has been a part of Indian

life tradition for centuries and society has used it in various forms.

He said that since 2014, the central government has made

significant efforts to institutionally promote Ayurveda and traditional medical

systems. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, a large number of people have

understood the importance of Ayurveda and traditional health systems, and

interest in them has increased.

Dr. Mishra said that continuous work is being done to

address the need for research into the scientific utility of Ayurveda. More

than 40 institutions in the country are conducting research on Ayurveda and

related subjects.On this occasion, Principal Secretary, AYUSH Ranjan Kumar,

Director General, AYUSH G.S. Priyadarshi, Special Secretary, AYUSH Madan Singh,

Director, AYUSH Dr. Narayan Das along with officers, doctors, employees and

other dignitaries of AYUSH department were present.
