Aichi-Nagoya, 23 September (H.S.): India’s women’s skeet team of Maheshwari Chauhan, Parinaz Dhaliwal and Raiza Dhillon won the bronze medal at the Asian Games on Wednesday, taking India’s overall medal tally to eight. The trio finished third with a combined score of 331 points after three days of qualification rounds.

China won the gold medal with 357 points, while Kazakhstan secured silver with 336 points. The bronze marked India’s eighth medal at the Asian Games.

Meanwhile, two-time Olympic medallist shooter Manu Bhaker qualified for the final of the women’s 10m air pistol event. Manu finished third in qualification with a score of 579 points.

India have now won six shooting medals at the Asian Games, comprising four silver and two bronze medals. The Indian shooting contingent, however, is still awaiting its first gold medal.
