Nagaon (Assam), 23 September (HS): The second randomization of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) for the 2026 bye-election to the 9-Nagaon Lok Sabha Parliamentary Constituency was conducted at Nagaon in the presence of the General Observer and representatives of national and state-recognized political parties.

The randomization process covered both election districts falling under the Nagaon Lok Sabha constituency and was held at the Office of the District Election Officer (DEO), Nagaon.

Following the randomization, the EVMs have been assigned polling station numbers, while their polling station-wise segregation is currently underway in both Nagaon and Morigaon election districts. The segregation process is scheduled to be completed by September 23.

The commissioning of the EVMs for the bye-election has been scheduled to commence from September 29, 2026.------------
