Hooghly, 23 September (H.S.): West Bengal Minister and Balagarh MLA Sumana Sarkar extended assistance to families affected by adverse weather and difficult circumstances in the Balagarh Assembly constituency on Wednesday. Tarpaulins were distributed among affected and needy families as part of the relief initiative.

The assistance was provided after taking into consideration the present circumstances and immediate needs of the affected families. The beneficiaries expressed relief after receiving the tarpaulins, which are expected to provide them with necessary protection during the difficult period.

Sumana Sarkar said that standing by people and taking action when they are in need is part of their commitment, rather than merely making promises. She also assured that she would continue to stand by the people of Balagarh in times of happiness, hardship and distress.

Local residents said the distribution of essential materials during the difficult situation provided some relief to the affected families. The initiative to extend prompt assistance to people in need received a positive response in the area.
