Hooghly, 23 September (H.S.): As part of the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, the ‘Dream India’ programme is being organised to mark Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi’s 25-year journey in public service. Tarakeswar MLA Santu Pan is serving as the co-convener of the programme for Howrah, Hooghly and Medinipur districts.

On Wednesday, a special initiative was undertaken in the Tarakeswar Assembly constituency in Hooghly district as part of the ‘Dream India’ programme. MLA Santu Pan personally visited around 30 schools in the constituency to review the preparations and progress of the programme. Officials responsible for the respective areas were also present during the visits.

Drawing and speech competitions were organised at each school with active participation from students. Focusing on the theme of ‘Dream India’, the young participants expressed their vision of the India of the future, national development and their responsibilities towards society. Through their drawings, the students portrayed their vision of a future India, while the speech competitions provided them an opportunity to share their thoughts and dreams.

During his visits to the schools, Santu Pan interacted with the students and encouraged their creativity, thoughts about the country and aspirations for building the India of the future. The programme also generated enthusiasm among students and teachers.

According to the organisers, the dreams and imagination of children can help shape the vision of India in the years ahead. The primary objective of the ‘Dream India’ programme is to provide the younger generation with an opportunity to think about the country, society and the future.
