Lucknow, 23 Sept (HS): Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national

president Mayawati has appointed Ishaan Anand, the younger son of her brother

Anand Kumar, as the party's national convener. Previously, this position was

held by Akash Anand, but Mayawati has expelled him from the party.

Expressing gratitude to everyone present at the meeting,

Ishaan Anand said that he has been entrusted with the important responsibility

of being the BSP's national convener. He will strive to fulfill his

responsibilities with complete honesty. He also wants to assure all his

colleagues that he will never disappoint them in advancing the party's work.

After this, Ishaan touched Mayawati's feet and sought her blessings.

Assembly elections are scheduled for the next few months in

Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Punjab. Mayawati held a special all-India

meeting of the BSP in Lucknow on Wednesday to address these concerns. The

meeting reviewed the BSP's preparations for contesting the assembly elections

alone in these states and the implementation of previous guidelines regarding

candidate selection.

Addressing the meeting, Mayawati said that there are many

challenges to gaining the master key to power. Opposition parties are resorting

to tactics like coercion, bribery, coercion, and discrimination to gain power.

She urged party workers to break free from all temptations, traps, relationships,

and personal interests and focus solely on the goal of forming a government.

The BSP president said that when it comes to the issue of

nepotism, which is so prevalent in Indian politics, the BSP has always been

clean. The party has always followed the footsteps of Babasaheb Dr. Bhimrao

Ambedkar and Kanshi Ram and has maintained strict rules from the beginning.

They have no personal family, but rather Bahujan Samaj is her extended family,

which must be transformed from an exploited class into a ruling class and made

to stand on its own feet. She said that if siblings and close relatives wish to

cooperate, they can certainly work within the party organization without any

selfish motive. They should remain firm on this, and this is my pledge as well.

Regarding the new UPI payment system, Mayawati said that its adverse effects

must be avoided.
