Mumbai, 23 September (H.S.): Actor Kartik Aaryan, who received the Best Actor honour at the 72nd National Film Awards, headed straight to Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Wednesday after returning from the award ceremony. After receiving the prestigious honour from President Droupadi Murmu at Ekta Nagar in Gujarat, Aaryan visited the shrine to seek Lord Ganesha’s blessings and offered his National Film Award at the deity’s feet.

A video capturing the actor’s devotional visit has surfaced on social media, showing him praying before Lalbaugcha Raja with his National Award.

Aaryan had earlier shared his happiness over the honour on social media. Recalling his journey while sharing a video from the award ceremony, he reflected on how a boy from the small city of Gwalior had once dreamed of becoming an actor and had now received the National Award for Best Actor.

The actor also expressed gratitude to director Kabir Khan and producer Sajid Nadiadwala for giving him the opportunity to portray India’s first Paralympic gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar, in the film Chandu Champion.

Following his visit to Lalbaugcha Raja, Aaryan shared a photograph of Lord Ganesha and wrote, “My Sukhakarta, Dukhaharta. Your blessings, beyond words. Thank you, Bappa.”

The actor also shared photographs from the National Film Awards ceremony, including a special moment with his parents, which he described as one of the most cherished moments of his life. He also posted pictures with actor Mammootty and actress Yami Gautam.

For Aaryan, the day brought together two deeply personal milestones — a major national honour for his work in cinema and a visit to seek blessings at one of Mumbai’s most revered Ganesh shrines.
