Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali’s daughter Ida Ali has got engaged to her longtime friend and partner Krish Agarwal in a private ceremony. Imtiaz shared a photograph from the intimate celebration on social media, seeking blessings from fans and well-wishers for his daughter and her future husband.

In the photograph, Ida and Krish can be seen exchanging rings. Ida looked elegant in a soft pink gown, while Krish wore a black sherwani. The couple appeared visibly happy as they marked the special occasion with their families.

Sharing the photograph, Imtiaz wrote, “Seeking your blessings.” The engagement comes after Krish previously proposed to Ida amid the snow-covered mountains of Norway, getting down on one knee to ask her to marry him.

Ida, like her father, is pursuing a career in filmmaking. She directed her first short film, Lift, at the age of 17, marking an early entry into the world of cinema.

According to reports, 24-year-old Krish works as a quantitative researcher at a hedge fund firm. Ida and Krish are also known to share a love for travel and have been in a relationship for several years.

With their engagement now official, the couple’s families are expected to begin preparations for the wedding in the coming months.
