Maurya, the Deputy Chief

Minister of Uttar Pradesh, launched

theAyurveda Day event in

Lucknow, highlighting the incorporation of artificial intelligence (AI) and contemporaryscientific research into traditional

medicine. He formally inaugurated the Ayurveda

Day initiative, concentrating on merging

traditional healing practices with advanced technologies. Conversations

emphasized utilizing artificial intelligence and

digital resources to bolster the

Ayush digital framework, improve data-informed clinical studies, and standardize Ayurvedic products. The main focus revolved around evidence-based verification of traditional herbs and treatments

to render healthcare more predictive, individualized, and universally

accessible. Awareness initiatives, exhibits, and health workshops held throughout Uttar Pradesh, engaging

health facilities and community groups.

department highlighted the importance of enhancingscientific research on Ayurvedic therapies and herbal

products in partnershipwith medical colleges and research organizations.

said that people's faith in India's ancient medical tradition, Ayurveda, is

steadily growing. To further strengthen this faith, special attention needs to

be paid to research and authenticity. Under the able leadership of the

illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's rich Ayurvedic knowledge

tradition is gaining global recognition. Research, education, and innovation

are being promoted, integrating Ayurveda with modern healthcare. He said that

Indian medical systems, including Ayurveda, Yoga, Homeopathy, and Unani, play

an important role in building a healthy India and a healthy Uttar Pradesh. The

Deputy Chief Minister was addressing a program organized on the occasion of the

11th Ayurveda Day on Wednesday at Mercury Hall, Indira Gandhi Pratishthan,

Gomti Nagar, Lucknow.

Maurya said that he is not opposed to allopathy. Each system

of medicine has its own utility. What is needed is better coordination and

knowledge exchange between Ayurveda, homeopathy, Unani, and modern medical

systems, so that useful information about each system is widely available and

patients can receive more effective healthcare.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that high level institutions

are being developed in the field of Ayurveda in the country and this has

further strengthened people's faith in the Indian medical system.

Congratulating Padma Shri Professor Manoranjan Sahu, Padma

Shri Professor Chandrashekhar Singh, and Padma Shri Professor K.K. Thakral, who

were present at the event, Maurya said that the presence of three Padma Shri

dignitaries on the same stage was a matter of pride. He commended their

contributions to the field of Ayurveda and extended his congratulations and

best wishes.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that the rich tradition of

Ayurveda has been a part of India's way of life for thousands of years. The

Indian medical and health knowledge tradition is not limited to India, but

should benefit the entire world.

He called upon Ayurveda students and future physicians to

pursue research and innovation with confidence. He said that along with

building a developed India and a developed Uttar Pradesh, the commitment to a

healthy India and a healthy Uttar Pradesh must also be fulfilled. In this

direction, the role of students, physicians, teachers, and researchers

associated with Ayurveda and Indian medical systems is crucial.

On this occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of

State for AYUSH honored the Padma Shri awardees by presenting them with robes,

mementos, and citations. Along with this, yoga programs, competitions held, and

doctors were also honored with awards and AYUSH citations. On this occasion,Maurya

launched the AYUSH Clinical Establishment Registration Portal.

Dayalu said on this occasion that on the occasion of Ayurveda Day,

we all should take a pledge that we will spread the message of healthy

lifestyle to every family, make children and youth aware about health and will

contribute in strengthening safe, quality and health services based on

scientific evidence. He said that the number of hospitals is increasing, modern

medical equipment is becoming available and health services are expanding.

Principal Secretary, AYUSH Ranjan Kumar said that today on

the occasion of Ayurveda Day, we are not just celebrating an ancient medical

system, but are also honouring a holistic health system that considers not only

the body and mind but also our lifestyle and environment as the basis of

health.

On this occasion, Director General AYUSH and Director AYUSH

Mission Gauri Shankar Priyadarshi, Special Secretary AYUSH Madan Singh Garbyal,

Ayurveda Director Dr. Narayan Das, Homeopathy Director Pramod Kumar Singh,

Unani Director Prof. Jamal Akhtar along with Ayurveda experts, doctors,

teachers and AYUSH students and other senior departmental officers were

present.
