Mumbai, 23 Sept (HS):

The farmers facing acute drought situation should not lose patience. The

Government is with them firmly, assured Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Shinde assured adequate financial support to the drought-affected farmers in

the state.

Eknath Shinde reviewed

the situation in Dhadham and Vyala villages in Balapur Tehsil of Akola

district. Akola’s Guardian Minister Akash Fundkar, Water and Soil Conservation

Minister Sanjay Rathod. Minisyer of State Ashish Jaiswal, MP Anup Dhotre, MLAs

Sanjay Gaikwad and Kiran Sarnaik, Mayor Sharda Khedkar and others were present.

Shinde visited farms

of G T Jadhav and Savita Wasudev Washimkar and held discussion with the farmers

in the villages about their problems. Shinde informed that the issues

confronted by the farmers in the state were discussed in the Cabinet and soon

notification relating to the drought situation and government help will be

issued.
