23 Sept (HS): Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis reviewed drought-affected

agricultural farm in Kharosa village in Aus Assembly constituency in Latur

district and talked to farmers in the region. He assured that drought will be

announced in the state within two days and the affected farmers will be

provided financial support. This is the second severe drought situation after

1972, he added.

Fadnavis

was informed about closure of water supply scheme for six village in Kharosa

due to non-payment of electricity bills. Fadnavis assured that pending bills

will be paid immediately and water supply restored.

Works

on water conservation will be undertaken on war footing in the drought-affected

villages and local people will be given employment, Fadnavis assured.
