Lucknow, 23 Sept (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath believes that Ayurveda and Yoga are critical foundations for
holistic health, disease-free living, and evidence-based integration into
current medical systems. Uttar Pradesh's government, led by Chief Minister Yogi
Adityanath, has prioritized the upgrade of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga &
Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy) colleges, the expansion of
institutional capacity, and the establishment of regional centers of
excellence. CM Yogi vehemently supported government regulations that allow
certified Ayurvedic practitioners to undertake specific general surgical
operations, highlighting historical antecedents in ancient Indian surgery and
advocating for further scientific confirmation and understanding. The
administration regularly supports traditional wellness rituals, institutional
collaborations, and preventative healthcare programs that are in line with the
national Ayurveda Day goals.
Meanwhile, UP CM remarked in a post on X, “Health is not
merely freedom from disease; it is the name for balance among body, mind, and
life. This holistic life-perspective is the 'eternal science'—Ayurveda. It is
not just a method of treatment; it is the Indian vision for living a healthy,
disciplined, and well-ordered life. On Ayurveda Day, which conveys the message
of harmony with nature, moderation in diet, and balance in life, heartfelt best
wishes to all Ayurvedic scholars, physicians, researchers, and the people of
the state. Let us, with the eternal aspiration of 'May all be free from
illness,' make this invaluable knowledge-tradition of Ayurveda the foundation
of health for every individual.”
