Guwahati, 23 September (H.S.): Panic gripped Baihata Chariali after armed miscreants allegedly targeted a gold trader late at night and fled with jewellery worth lakhs of rupees.

According to reports, the unidentified assailants brandished a pistol at the gold trader and threatened him before looting the valuables. The incident has raised concerns over the security of traders and residents in the area.
