Amaravati, 23 September (H.S.): The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, on Wednesday approved several key proposals covering more than 60 agenda items, including investments in IT and quantum technology, recommendations of the State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), police administration and infrastructure development.

The Cabinet approved the establishment of new police commissionerates at Rajamahendravaram, Guntur, Tirupati and Kurnool.

On Amaravati's infrastructure development, the Cabinet sanctioned Rs 1,548.98 crore for infrastructure works in the capital city and approved an additional Rs 644.98 crore for related works. It also cleared Rs 661 crore for construction of the Assembly building.

The Cabinet approved incentives for My Home Industries' greenfield cement unit at Dachepalli and gave its approval for Caterpillar's greenfield facility at Sri City.

The meeting also discussed proposals concerning the resumption and expansion of basic infrastructure works in Amaravati.

The Cabinet considered recent recommendations of the SIPB and proposals relating to major investments in IT and quantum technology. Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan and other Cabinet ministers attended the meeting.
