Aichi-Nagoya, 22 September (H.S.): India’s Elavenil Valarivan and Parth Mane narrowly missed out on a medal in the 10m air rifle mixed team event at the 2026 Asian Games on Tuesday. The Indian pair finished fourth in the final with a score of 376.3 points, ending their medal campaign.

Elavenil and Parth began the final in fourth place. After the first 10 shots, the Indian duo had accumulated 103.6 points. China led the standings with 107.2 points, while South Korea and Japan were second and third with 104.9 and 103.9 points, respectively.

The Indian pair remained in fourth position after 20 shots, with 207.9 points. They were 1.3 points behind third-placed South Korea, while China continued to lead with 211.9 points.

Elavenil and Parth were still fourth after the third series, having scored 312.3 points. China led with 315.7 points, followed by Japan with 314.9 and South Korea with 314.3 points.

The Indian duo eventually finished fourth with 376.3 points and missed out on a place on the podium.

Earlier, Elavenil and Parth had secured second place in the qualification round with a score of 634.9 points, earning their place in the final. China topped the qualification standings with a world-record score of 638.9 points.

Indian Men’s 4x100m Medley Relay Team Qualifies for Final

In swimming, India’s men’s 4x100m medley relay team qualified for the final after finishing fourth in its heat. The Indian quartet of Rishabh Das, Akash Mani, Benediction Beniston and Dhanush Suresh advanced with the seventh-best overall time. The final will be held later on Tuesday.
