New Delhi, 22 September (H.S.): Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta attended the concluding session of the eight-day 30th World Spiritual Conference and met Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj, head of the Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission. The conference was held at Kirpal Bagh and Sant Darshan Singh Ji Dham in Burari and also marked the 80th birthday of the spiritual leader.

The eight-day event, which began on September 13, drew more than two lakh participants. BJP MLA Ashok Goel, spiritual leaders from various faiths and more than 650 international delegates also attended the programme.

The concluding session featured discussions on meditation and spirituality, along with the 68th Blood Donation Camp, the 43rd Free Eye Check-up and Cataract Surgery Camp, and the 23rd Vastra Vitran Camp.

More than 650 delegates from the United States, Australia, Austria, Switzerland, Canada and several other countries participated in the conference.

Addressing the gathering, Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj described meditation as a means of turning one’s attention inward and connecting with the Divine. He said that in a world filled with distractions, people need to look within to connect with God, understand the true purpose of life and fulfil their spiritual quest.

Chief Minister Rekha Gupta extended her birthday greetings to Sant Rajinder Singh Ji Maharaj and appreciated his decades-long dedication to meditation, peace and service to humanity.

Gupta said she was deeply impressed by his remarkable journey from engineering to spirituality. She also acknowledged his commitment to promoting meditation, peace and humanitarian service.

The concluding programme ended with a soulful rendition of the hymn “Hum Ghar Saajan Aaye” from the bani of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, presented by Mata Rita and others.
