
New Delhi, 22 September (H.S.): The 11th Ayurveda Day will be celebrated across India and worldwide on Wednesday under the theme Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow, with the national programme scheduled to be held in Nagpur.
The Ministry of Ayush will organise the national celebration, bringing together Ayurveda institutions, practitioners and stakeholders for discussions on evidence, research, innovation and community wellbeing.
The programme will witness the launch of the first-ever report on the Ayush Services Sector, prepared by the Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS). The report will provide an assessment of the Ayush services sector.
Safety Dossiers on Gokshura (Tribulus terrestris) and Chandrasura (Lepidium sativum) will also be launched along with Standard Treatment Guidelines on skin disorders and other initiatives and publications aimed at strengthening evidence-based practices, research and innovation in Ayurveda.
The event will also feature the launch of the report From Traditional Wisdom to Global Leadership: Ayush Vision 2030, a status report on Ayush-related inventions in India and the CCRAS-AGNI (Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences-Ayurveda Gyan Naipunya Initiative) Assessment Scale Web Portal.
The Ayush Quality Mark Certification will be presented to four eligible industries by the chief guest.
Two scientific sessions have also been scheduled as part of the programme. The first, titled Shashwatam to Vishwas - Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow and the Road to 2047, will focus on Ayurveda and its future trajectory. The second session, Integrating Therapies is needed to reduce NCD Burden by 2027, will focus on integrated approaches to addressing non-communicable diseases.
Senior officials of the Ministry of Ayush, representatives of various councils and Ayush institutions will attend the event.
The nationwide and worldwide celebrations are aimed at bringing together stakeholders from across the Ayurveda ecosystem and providing a platform for knowledge exchange and wider engagement. The observance will highlight the role of evidence, research and innovation in strengthening Ayurveda and promoting community wellbeing.
