Imphal, 21 September (HS): A combined team of the Imphal West CDO and 33 Assam Rifles recovered a cache of arms and explosives during a search operation in the adjoining areas of Akham and Lamdeng villages under Lamsang Police Station, police informed on Monday.

According to the security forces, the operation led to the recovery of nine 9mm pistols, one locally made Lathode gun and two bolt-action single-barrel guns.

The team also recovered one No. 36 HE grenade and five TSM rounds during the operation. Further details regarding the seizure and the circumstances leading to the recovery were not immediately available.------------
