Guwahati, 21 September (HS): Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister and AICC General Secretary in charge of Assam, Bhupesh Baghel, on Monday paid tribute to late Assamese artist Zubeen Garg at Zubeen Khetra in Guwahati.

Baghel visited Zubeen Khetra at around 11 am and paid his respects to the departed singer and artist. Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Gaurav Gogoi and several Congress MLAs were also present during the tribute programme.

Following the programme, Baghel and other Congress leaders left for Nagaon, where he is scheduled to attend a massive public meeting at Samaguri as the chief guest.

The Congress will organise a rally from Samaguri to the meeting venue to welcome Baghel. The public meeting will also be attended by MP and APCC president Gaurav Gogoi, MP Rakibul Hussain, party's by-election candidate Shivamoni Bora and other senior Congress leaders.-----------
