Hyderabad, 20 September (H.S.): Schools across Telangana will observe a 13-day Dasara vacation from October 10 to October 22, with classes scheduled to resume on October 23, according to the academic calendar issued by the School Education Department.

The Dasara break will follow the Summative Assessment (SA) 1 examinations, which are scheduled to be conducted before the vacation. The results of the examinations will be announced after the vacation following completion of the evaluation process.

The academic calendar also provides the schedule for subsequent examinations. SA 2 examinations for Classes I to IX will be conducted from April 9 to 19, while pre-final examinations for Class X students will be completed before February 28. The SSC board examinations are scheduled to be held in March 2027.

The Telangana government has separately declared October 20 and 21 as public holidays on the occasion of Vijaya Dasami and the following day. October 19, observed as Maharnavami, has been declared an optional holiday.
