Several BJD and Congress Workers Join BJP in Koraput


Bhubaneswar, 20 September (H.S.): Several workers of the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and Congress joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Koraput, citing their support for the development initiatives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.

The joining took place during a party induction programme organised at the Koraput Circuit House, where workers from different political parties formally joined the BJP.

The programme was held in the presence of Odisha Minister for Fisheries and Animal Resources Development and MSME Gokulananda Mallik, local MLA Raghuram Machha and other senior party leaders. On the occasion, Minister Mallik welcomed the new members by presenting them with party scarves.

Mallik said the joining of the new members would further strengthen the BJP organisation in the region. The participation of workers from different political parties was also welcomed by the party leadership.
