Mumbai, 20 September (H.S.): Bollywood actor Salman Khan expressed his anger over the way some paparazzi photograph women actors without respecting their privacy during a recent episode of Bigg Boss 20’s Weekend Ka Vaar.

Khan criticised paparazzi who, according to him, take inappropriate photographs of actresses from behind and share them on social media with captions such as “Who?” He described the practice as inappropriate and urged women in the entertainment industry to speak out against such behaviour.

The actor said several actresses feel uncomfortable when such photographs are taken. Referring to Sai Manjrekar, Khan said he had recently noticed that she appeared uncomfortable in a similar situation. He also mentioned Neha Dhupia, who has previously spoken publicly about concerns surrounding such photographs.

Khan said every woman has personal boundaries and argued that taking photographs without considering a person’s comfort or consent is inappropriate.

The actor also shared an incident involving his niece. He said that while she was travelling somewhere, some people repeatedly photographed her from behind and later posted the pictures on social media with captions such as “Guess who she is.”

Questioning this mindset, Khan said women who are uncomfortable with such treatment should take a firm stand against it.

Khan further said that if the identities of people engaging in such behaviour became known, he would want to question them about their actions. He added that many of the women he knows are now mothers and have never been comfortable with such photographs being taken.

His comments have since sparked discussion on social media about the privacy of women celebrities and the boundaries that paparazzi should observe while photographing public figures.
