Gorakhpur, 20 Sept (HS): The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's
shakha is a workshop for personality development. Through the shakha,
individuals develop the strength to protect the noble members of society,
protect society from evil, uphold chastity, and serve society in times of
crisis. During just one hour each day, the shakha hosts programs such as
sports, exercise, songs, intellectual activities, and mutual intimacy.
However,
behind this one hour, a continuous process of personality development and
social building continues, opined Ramesh Ji, the provincial pracharak of the
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, while addressing a gathering in Buddha Nagar,
Gorakhpur, held at Palm Paradise on Sunday. He said that the primary objective
of Sangh work is to create organized, cultured, and capable individuals in
society. The shakha is not merely a place to play games, but a medium for a
person's physical, mental, and social development. The values acquired at the
shakha make a person aware of their responsibilities to society and inspire
them to play an active role in the national interest.
The provincial pracharak said that the revered Balasaheb
Deoras ji, while explaining the broader nature of the shakha, had said that the
Sangh's shakha is not just a place for play. It is a silent promise of
protection for gentlemen, a place of values that keeps young people away from
harmful addictions, a guarantee of respectful behavior towards women, and a
center of hope that provides quick and unbiased assistance in times of sudden
disasters and crises that strike society.
He said that our scriptures discuss various incarnations of
God in the Satyayuga, Tretayuga, and Dwaparyuga. Even in the current Kaliyuga,
organizational power is needed for social awakening and protection. This
sentiment is expressed in the Sangha: Sanghe Shakti Kaliyuga.
Ramesh Ji said that the emergence of the Sangha in Nagpur on September 27,
1925, was an important beginning in this direction. Today, through its shakhas,
that same organizational power is reaching out to every individual and
organizing society. The Sangha's aim is not merely to establish an
organization, but to instill values in individuals, organization in society,
and strength in national life.
He said that when noble forces unite, they develop the
ability to face the challenges facing society. Therefore, every volunteer
should strive to ensure that the shakha runs regularly, that as many people as
possible join, that they become cultured and capable, and that they serve
society. An hour in the shakha is not just an hour, but a practice of
individual development, social protection, and nation-building.
The gathering lasted an hour and a half: Over 100 volunteers
from all the branches in the area participated in the gathering held in Buddha
Nagar. The shakha function lasted for about an hour and a half. Volunteers
participated in various physical and intellectual activities, demonstrating
organizational discipline and collective spirit. A large number of volunteers
including Provincial Sanghchalak Dr. Mahendra Agarwal, Somnath, Sankarshan,
Chandramani, Rajesh, Sanjay, District Pracharak Manish, Evening Pracharak
Sanjeev, Bharatendu, Padmakar, Nikesh were present in the program.
