New Delhi, 20 September (H.S.): Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya on Sunday led the 91st edition of ‘Sundays on Cycle’ at Meijo Park in Nagoya, Japan. He brought together members of the Indian diaspora to support and encourage the Indian contingent participating in the Asian Games 2026.

According to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, the initiative reflects the government’s efforts to strengthen people-to-people connections with the Indian diaspora through the universal language of sport. It also reinforces the message of fitness and a healthy lifestyle under the Fit India Movement.

During the event, Sports Minister Mandaviya interacted with participants and appreciated their enthusiasm for coming together to support India at the Asian Games. He said the Asian Games had commenced in Nagoya, Japan, and that a contingent of more than 500 Indian athletes was participating in the Games.

Mandaviya said the Indian diaspora residing in Nagoya had enthusiastically participated in the ‘Sundays on Cycle’ event to support and encourage the country’s athletes. “Our contingent is performing well, and our diaspora community is working hard to boost their morale,” he said.

Union Minister Mandaviya is in Nagoya, Japan, for the Asian Games 2026, where he is interacting with Indian athletes, officials and members of the Indian diaspora.
