
Lucknow, 02 Sept (HS): On Wednesday, Yogi Adityanath will
inaugurate the Uttar Pradesh Outsourced Services Corporation (UPCOS) portal,
website, and official logo at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow. Designed to safeguard
outsourced workers' rights, assure service security, and increase openness in
human resource management in state government agencies. Mandates that entire salary be directly paid
to employees' bank accounts by the fifth of each month, in addition to prompt
EPF and ESI deposits. This digital integration would help around 2.70 lakh
outsourced staff who are currently enrolled with various state departments.
The Uttar Pradesh government has also formed an outsourcing commission
to simplify the system and increase safety for outsourced personnel across
departments. According to the Chief Minister's Office, more steps will be
implemented soon to ensure that every outsourced worker receives a minimal
honorarium as well as guarantyd access to different types of social protection.
The administration has also created budgetary allocations to make these
policies more easily implemented.
UP CM penned a post on X, which reads as follows: “Uttar
Pradesh is set to embark on a new beginning in the direction of protecting the
interests of outsourced personnel, ensuring service security, and promoting
transparent human resource management. Today in Lucknow, the Uttar Pradesh
Outsourcing Service Corporation (UPCOS) will be inaugurated for the digital
integration of comprehensive outsourced human resource management. At the same
time, the launching of the UPCOS portal and website, the unveiling of the 'logo',
and the distribution of cheques to outsourced personnel will also take place. Transparency
through technology, security through systems, and respect for the labor of
every personnel—this is the new identity of the 'New Uttar Pradesh'.”
