Silchar (Assam), 02 September (HS): Acting on reliable information in connection with Silchar Police Station Case No. 786/2026, police conducted an operation and apprehended two persons suspected of involvement in theft.

The arrested persons have been identified as Rahul Sarkar and Arif Uddin Laskar.

During a search, police recovered 14 mobile phones, five pairs of gold earrings, five finger rings and an e-rickshaw charger from their possession.

The apprehended persons, along with the recovered articles, were brought to the police station for necessary legal action. Further investigation into the case is underway.----------
