Dhemaji (Assam), 02 September (HS): A shocking incident was reported from Telam area of Jonai in Assam’s Dhemaji district, where a teacher allegedly attacked his family members with an axe, killing his wife and two children.

The deceased have been identified as 5-year-old daughter Rijika Begum, 8-year-old son Sakhil Ali and 33-year-old wife Chinuara Begum.

Another daughter, 13-year-old Neina Akhtar, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

The accused teacher has been identified as Firoz Ali. Police have begun an investigation into the incident.----------
