Lucknow, 02 Sept (HS): Large numbers of devotees are expected to

gather at major religious sites, including Mathura, Vrindavan, and Govardhan,

on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. In view of this, the

Yogi government has begun preparations to strengthen the transportation system.

In this regard, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge)

Dayashankar Singh has issued instructions to ensure robust transportation

arrangements in buses and at bus stations in view of the Shri Krishna

Janmashtami festival, which will be celebrated on September 4.

On Janmashtami, a large number of devotees from

across the country will arrive at Mathura, the birthplace of Lord Krishna,

Vrindavan, the place of his divine play, and Govardhan, a major religious site.

Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh has instructed officials to ensure

necessary vigilance regarding law and order, security, and transportation at

major religious sites like Mathura, Vrindavan, and Govardhan on the occasion of

Janmashtami. Along with the operation of buses, special monitoring should also

be maintained at bus stations.

Singh has urged all regional and assistant regional managers to be vigilant.

Officials have been asked to exercise special vigilance at bus stations, major

bus terminals, and on routes to religious sites in their respective areas.

Additionally, buses and bus stations have been

asked to effectively monitor and check suspicious individuals and objects. They

have been asked to immediately report any suspicious activity to the local

police and administration.
