Bhubaneswar, 02 September (H.S.): Odisha Leader of Opposition and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik has congratulated Air Vice Marshal Shakti Sharma on becoming the first woman officer from the non-medical branch of the Indian Armed Forces to attain the rank of Air Vice Marshal.

In a social media post, Patnaik described Sharma’s elevation as a landmark achievement and said it would inspire many more women to break barriers and emerge as trailblazers in the armed forces and other fields.

“Congratulations to Air Vice Marshal Shakti Sharma on becoming the first woman officer from the non-medical branch of the Indian Armed Forces to reach the rank of Air Vice Marshal,” Patnaik said.

He expressed hope that Sharma would continue to achieve greater heights in her career and serve as an inspiration to others.

Patnaik also extended his best wishes to Air Vice Marshal Shakti Sharma for her future endeavours and continued success.
