02 Sept (HS): MLA Prakash Solanke met Manoj Jarange who is on a hunger strike for

reservation to Maratha community since August 29. Solanke demanded that the government

should take a concrete decision so that Manoj Jarange is not required to stage

hunger strike.

The

health of Jarange deteriorated on Wednesday, but he refused to take any medical

treatment unless the government concedes his demands.

Road

Blockade: Meanwhile, supporters of Manoj Jarange staged road blockade agitation

on Beed-Parali Hughway on Wednesday. The traffic on both the sides was blocked

by the agitators. The agitation was in progress on Jarud diversion.

Pimpalner

Police have been alerted to avoid any untoward incident. Tehsildar Chandrakant

Shelke held discussion with the agitators.
