The state government is working on the policy of zero

tolerance against criminals.

Lucknow/Shamli, 02 Sept (HS): Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of

State (Independent Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and

Entrepreneurship, visited Bantikheda village in Shamli to meet the family of

the late Ankit Baliyan and pay tribute to him. Expressing his deep condolences

to the family, he said that Ankit Baliyan's murder is extremely painful and a

tragedy for the entire district.

Kapil Dev Agarwal said that the public murder of Ankit

Baliyan by a sharpshooter from Haryana, about five days ago, shocked everyone.

This incident was challenging and extremely sad not only for the family, but

also for the entire district, Uttar Pradesh, and the government. He said that

Ankit's family has lost their son. The family will always feel the absence of

their son during the upcoming festivals, including Diwali, Holi, and

Rakshabandhan. He said that the pain of a mother whose womb has become barren

cannot be expressed in words.

He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath, the state government is pursuing a zero-tolerance policy against

criminals. No criminal will be allowed to disrupt law and order in Uttar

Pradesh. Regarding the murder of Ankit Baliyan, the Chief Minister took

immediate cognizance of the incident and directed officials to take necessary

action.

Minister Agarwal praised the police action and said that the

accused involved in the incident were arrested. He explained that while being

apprehended by the police, the accused attempted to escape and fired at the

police team, prompting police action, which resulted in the encounter, in which

both accused were injured. He stated that strict action would be taken against

the perpetrators within the ambit of the law, and that the government would not

protect them at any cost.

Kapil Dev Agarwal stated that he has also spoken with Ankit

Baliyan's father. The family has expressed satisfaction with the police action

and has also identified the sharpshooters. He stated that the government will

not hesitate in taking action against the criminals. If a larger conspiracy is

revealed behind this murder or if any other individuals are found to be

involved, strict legal action will be taken against them as well.
